There have been several spy shot images showing Kia Sorento 2025 during a testing stage. Yes, the company has been focusing on developing their new Sorento model for the 2025 model year. For the upcoming model, it’s likely that the Sorento would still be offering the combustion unit. But then again, there is no information about the powertrain planning and layout, so we can only speculate and make predictions.
About the Upcoming 2025 Sorento
The current Sorento was officially debuted around 2020, so it’s quite logical that the 2024 would mark the car turning four years in its existence. And since the vehicle has been four years old, it’s only logical that the car should get a mid lifecycle refreshment and update. This is what Kia has been doing; figuring out what their next update would be and how it can attract the right potential buyers.
The prototype vehicle has been spotted going through the testing stage, which is obvious enough through the camo which is seen covering the prototype. But from the heavy camo alone, we are able to predict that the Sorento won’t be debuting soon. It’s likely that it debuts by the end of 2023 or even the 2024, set as the 2025 model. Design and Style
The Sorento debuted in 2022, around Septmeber, and now the seemingly facelifted Sorento is back again to undergo some winter testing stages, right in the middle of the freezing situation in Scandinavia. The camo is still heavy, but updated design is a bit showing.
The front area is the main focus of attention as many of the crucial styling would take place there. It seems that the front area is going through completely redesigned touchup. The design seems to be inspired from Kia EV9 with the (vertically mounted) LEDs. After all, Sorento comes with combustion unit, which explains why such a conventional grille would be needed. But then again, as the Kia Sorento 2025 updated model, it would also get refreshed pattern. The redesign work also happens to the lower bumper intakes, but the bonnet remains a ‘secret’ because it hides under the camo patches.
It seems that Sorento’s profile will remain the same although there may be a slight different design on the back area with its different D-pillar. The LED taillights somewhat look similar to the current one, but there is always a possibility that it may change for the future prototypes.
The Interior Cabin
Sorento has been known for its comfy and somewhat plush cabin, although not too excessive.
