Design and Style
Since the Sportage 2023 model got a full redesigned touchup, we can expect the 2024 (and also 2025) model to retain the almost similar styling. Expect a bold design with stretched wheelbase and improved powertrains. You can get a compact SUV having generous space for the cabin and also a bold visual look.
For some people, the Sportage has somewhat alike-like styling. The grille dominated the entire front end, with a horizontal bar dividing it into two sections. Next to the grille is the boomerang style (running) daytime lights with the headlights placed lower on the front end. The rear gets the same ‘odd’ treatment with black trim pieces, unique taillights, and unique rear styling.
Powertrain and Performance
The information about the 2025 Kia Sportage isn’t known, but we can take a look at the 2024 model for ideas. It comes with 3 powertrain options. The first one would be the four cylinder unit with 2.5 liter capacity that can deliver 187 hp, paired up with auto 8 speed transmission. The second and third one would be hybrid and plug in hybrid system. Both of them would be running on four cylinder turbocharged unit with 1.6 liter capacity, paired up with auto 6 speed transmission. The hybrid powertrain has 44.2 kW (electric) motor able to deliver 226 hp, while the plug in system has 66.9 kW motor along with 13.8 kWh battery that can generate 261 hp. All of them would be coming with all wheel driving system, but the plug in hybrid type is coming with only all wheel driving system.
Release Date and Price
The 2024 model was coming within 2023 (the first quarter), so there is no telling when the 2025 would be launched. It’s possible that it happens in 2024, maybe after the middle of the year. If production is somewhat delayed, the latest launch date may likely take place in the very early of 2025.
