Having a 2024 Honda Accord is a sight for sore eye, especially for the auto world. Today’s auto industry has been dominated by the SUVs and crossovers, so it’s nice to know that some sedans still exist – and they are doing quite well. After all, Accord has been known for its quality, resistance, and performance. Not only this vehicle is perfect for those who are into mid-size vehicles, but it’s also able to keep up.
Although the vehicle is about to get into its 11th gen, it is still able to offer some impressive features and abilities. Some of the spyshot images have been available, but there are also some (predictive) images made by artists who are into the sedan. Be advised that these images aren’t made by Honda themselves, but by independent artists. But they are created to serve a purpose: to give you clearer ideas of what to expect from the future sedan.
Design and Layout
Although the new design would be completely modern and new, some keey eyes and careful observers are able to see that there are several similar aspects that feel like a ‘déjà vu’, like the roofline and the overall proportions. The entire layout and models are novel, including the trapezoidal grille and slimmer LED headlamps. For some people, these elements are clearly inspired by Taurus. Aside the grille and headlamps, you can find LED tailamp cluster in full width, a unique fastback silhouette, and sheet metal surfacing to encourage fuss free operation. From the spyshots, the exhaust seems to be ‘hidden’ right behind the lower bumper while there is subtle lip on the trunk lid.
Just like the changes happening on the outdoor, the inside also gets some transformations and updates. The cabin is said to be inspired by the CR-V 2023 model (and probably some from the Civic). The cabin for Accord gets honeycomb cover, which is designed for the expanded air vents, along with the big touchscreen display located on the top side of the dashboard.
Besides changes and updates on the inside, you should also expect improved technology and also more premium materials. There won’t be any grandeur transformation or refresh work; only some minor updates. After all, the Accord is still designed with the same platform and construction as the previous architecture. The changes may not be grandeur, but they are quite significant to add a new touch to the sedan.
Some of the newest highlights include wireless mobile connection with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, sophisticated Bose sound system, digital instrument cluster, wireless (smartphone) charging, and also a 9-inch display screen with touchscreen ability. In terms of safety and driving assistance, expect the full suite, including traffic sign recognition, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, surround view monitor, and driver attention monitor.
Engine and Performance
People would be happy to learn that 2024 Honda Accord also offers hybrid variation. This is definitely helpful, considering the increasing price of the fuels as well as the possibility of higher price of the vehicle. The engine arrangement will likely be shared with the all new CR-V, which still employs the regular combustion unit as well as electric power. There would be gas-electric combo with inline four unit of 2.0 liter capacity that is coming with not only one electric motor, but two. One is for regeneration, and another one is for propulsion. It is able to generate 204 hp and 247 Nm of torque with the front wheel driving system in CR-V. For the Accord, the result is a bit higher. There is also a possibility of the carryover unit with turbocharged machine of 1.5 liter, generating 190 hp. Another one would be the four cylinder turbo unit with 2.0 liter capacity, delivering 252 hp when paired with auto 10 speed transmission.
Price and Release Date
There is no information of when Honda is going to release this Accord 2024 model. Some people predict that it would take place before 2022 ends, but some say that it’s likely coming in 2023. Considering that Accord will have to compete against Sonata (Hyundai), Altima (Nissan), and Camry (Toyota), Honda needs to be serious about their upcoming Accord. Hopefully, the 2024 Honda Accord would be as good as promised.
