Audi has been focusing on developing their next-line 2024 Audi e-tron. Some of the facelift designs have been previewed, having many colorful styles and touches. The Audi e-tron was first shown as a concept vehicle that as shown off during Frankfurt Motor Show 2015. And then the e-tron became the official launch in September 2018. Audi started delivering the vehicle within the following year due to the demands for the crossover with MLB Evo platform basis.
About the e-Tron
In terms of length, the e-Tron has been slotted between the Q7 and the Q5. This all electric variant is now being manufactured in China and Belgium, with two different mode variants. They are designed as SUVs, but one is coming with coupe style, while one is coming as a five door model. The coupe is then ‘introduced’ as the Sportback, while the five door model is known as the A5.
The Updated Plan
The 2024 Audi e-Tron has been spied in many testing stages. The –Tron itself has been spotted coming with heavy camo that creates interesting style. Although it’s difficult to see the exact details of the next model, the overall design looks appealing. Not to mention that the new design has colorful styling that even improves the overall look of the vehicle.
The front grille comes with bright orange hue, delivering somewhat youthful and modern appearance to the vehicle. So far, this is the only thing is available from the company. They haven’t mentioned any technical or mechanical details concerning the updates. Rumor has it that there is also a possibility that the company would rename the model to Q8 e-Tron, which sounds like a smart idea because the Q8 with its combustion engine has the same arrangement, including the wheelbase and the entire length.
However, the new e-Tron still needs more tweak and improved performance. It needs better efficiency as well as better driving range. If not, Audi may have a difficult time convincing (or suggesting) people to buy their model instead of Genesis GV60 or Tesla Model Y.
The A6
When we are talking about the e-Tron, we can’t really separate it from the A6. What we are talking before is the electrified SUV while the next thing we are going to talk about is the electrified version of the A6 sedan. The A6 is designed as a midsize luxury model, and the electrified version is meant to add the appeal.
This new sedan e-Tron would be coming with single and also dual motor models, which means that there is a rear wheel driving system as well as all wheel driving system. This arrangement enables the A6 to have 469 hp and 590 Nm of torque. It allows the vehicle to reach 60 mph within only 4 seconds.
This model is also running on 100 kWh battery pack, which is said to have longer distance range that the e-Tron GT and SUV. Those two SUVs can generate 232 miles of distance and 222 miles. For the A6, the expected destination would be 435 miles (in Europe) and around 300 miles for the US setting.
