The upcoming 2024 Audi SQ5 Hybrid would be next generation vehicle that still retains the design while adding up the unique (and quirky) details. Rumor has it that the new vehicle would experience tweaks, with eco-friendly features and improved efficiency. The vehicle would be coming with plug in hybrid system with big battery pack, enabling it to cover 35 miles to 40 miles of distance in pure electric juice.
About the Upcoming SQ5
It seems that the SQ5 would be following the production of the Q5. For now, the company is focusing on the third gen of the Q5 because it’s designed to replace the current model, premiered during Paris Auto Show 2016. The Camouflaged Prototype
The 2024 Audi SQ5 prototype vehicle was spotted in the sunny and hot Spain, going through the testing stage. The prototype was still heavily covered, but from the look of it, we can tell that the vehicle has a more aggressive look and design when compared to the regular style. One of the clear indication is the four tailpipes, giving it away that it is an SQ5 new model.
Although the model was still wearing a camo, you can see the entire design. The grille, for instance, looks wide, but not as big as the previous model. It seems to be flanked by slim (LED) headlights – a pair of them. You can see vertical air intakes below the grille, and there is a (central) one with apron like details located on the lower area of the bumper. On the back, the reflectors are made to be smaller than before while the holder for the license plate is sitting on the tailgate’s center. The taillights may look odd, but they somewhat look great.
The Interior Cabin
Unfortunately, the spy photographers weren’t able to get close to see images of the interior cabin. However, many auto experts believe that the cabin will likely have similar layout and look as the S4. There would be a tablet like infotainment system that is placed next to the (digital) instrument cluster offering free standing design.
Powertrain and Performance
Many people are still curious about the powertrain offered by this future crossover. It seems that S4 becomes the main inspiration for the SQ5. The crossover may be running on V6 unit that is also paired up with a mild hybrid system. This kind of arrangement is able to generate 370 hp, which means that there would be a 20 hp increase from the current model. The model is able to reach 60 mph in only 4.7 seconds, which is quite impressive.
