Silverado 1500 has been designed and known as this reliable lightweight truck that has a balanced combo of good looks and tough performance, so it’s pretty understandable if people are waiting for the 2025 Chevy Silverado 1500 to see what it has in store. This one would be the last vehicle being produced before the electric version is available for the market. Moreover, this 2025 model is said to have ICE arrangement and new powertrain. So, what can we expect for the future lightweight truck?
Updated Exterior and Interior
There isn’t much information about the new 2025 Chevy Silverado 1500 but many have predicted that it would be coming with new front fascia, new grille, and also new exterior paint options. Details are still scarce, but some minor updates should be expected. Plus, it’s highly likely that there would be new lines or refresh work for the exterior area.
The possible new colors would include Satin Steel Metallic, White Summit, Red Hot, Silver Ice Metallic, Red Cherry Tintcoat, Brown Oxford Metallic, Black, Iridescent Pearl Tricoat, Grey Shadow Metallic, and Blue Northsky Metallic.
What about the cabin? It’s likely that cabin will also get a significant touch-up although the details are still unknown. The biggest change will likely happen to the features and technologies. In fact, some sources stated that the biggest change will happen on the cabin with new seats and upholstery, better layout and design of the dashboard as well as the center console, and there is also likely new colors scheme.
For the infotainment screen, a 13.4 inch display with touchscreen feature is likely being utilized. Safety features will also be included in the update plan, including Chevrolet Safety Assist as the standard feature for the Silverado. But if you go with the High Country trim level, which is basically the highest one, you can enjoy the newest hands free Super Cruise tech – believed to elevate your driving experience to a whole new level.
Powertrain and Performance
There hasn’t been any information about the powertrain for the upcoming 2025 Chevy Silverado 1500, but looking at other trim options may give us a better insight of what to expect from the new Silverado 1500. Silverado ZR2, for instance, is said to have improved offroad abilities with turbo unit of 2.7 liter capacity being offered as the standard. It’s also possible that the auto maker will use the turbodiesel Duramax option for better punch and performance. It should be exciting to wait for more offers from Silverado 1500.
Price and Release Date
Because there is very little information about the lightweight truck (as well as its production and development stage), we can only predict what’s possibly happening to the ride. It’s highly likely that the auto maker will make this one available for sale in 2024 – most likely in fall months. In terms of price, it may not be so far different from the current models although you should expect a slight increase.
If everything goes as planned, it’s possible that the 1500 would be made within the third, or even on the fourth, quarter of year 2024. When Silverado 1500 was first launched, it was made in Silao plant in Mexico and also Fort Wayne in Indiana. For the upcoming 1500, Oshawa plant (in Canada) will also be used for the manufacturing process.
