Those two models have been confirmed to be delayed in production (and also delivery), which means that we may likely not going to have the 2024 model, but skipping it to the 2025 model instead. The Possible Redesigned Updates
Because of the production delay, it seems that the new gen will not be available soon at dealerships. There have been some flying rumors suggesting that the 4Runner would get some significant redesign works, making it a valid 2025 model instead of the 2024 model.

Well, the current 4Runner is running on V6 unit with 4.0 liter capacity that delivers 270 hp and 278 Nm of torque. It is paired up with auto five speed transmission. But this arrangement is considered outdated and worn, and many auto enthusiasts believe that Toyota should ditch it and replace it with something better.
Some sources state that it’s likely that the new 4Runner would be running on inline four turbocharged unit with 2.4 liter capacity, which is inspired from Lexus NX350. This layout is able to generate 275 hp and 317 Nm of torque. But there is still the 4Runner Hybrid, which is designed to make the 4Runner partially electric. It may be coming with Max Hybrid unit with 2.4 liter capacity that delivers 340 hp and 400 Nm of torque, which sounds exciting and promising.
