There have been several spy shot images of what suspected to be 2024 Volkswagen Passat, although it’s pretty hard to see what the true design would look like. Let’s not forget that VW has been known as the master of disguise. They aren’t only able to implement a full body camo, but they are also able to include decals that imitate the appearance of the current model. With stickers imitating the grilles, lights, and other (body) panels, people would easily think that it is the true design of the vehicle, while in reality, it’s not.

The new Passat has been seen in several occasions as the prototype vehicle is going through a testing stage. There have been several plug in hybrid versions caught on camera, and the latest model is likely a ride with internal combustion. You can see that the fender doesn’t have any charging port, which means that it isn’t electric. Naturally, the front end is packed with fake stickers here and there, but Volkswagen isn’t able to fool the body line.
Design and Style
From the look of it, the traditional grille seems to go away. The new 2024 Volkswagen Passat is no longer using the same grille. The new Passat would be constructed on the newest MQB platform (which is claimed as MQB Evo), which is expected to deliver better performance and punchier outcome. With this platform, the company believes that they can offer more electrified lineup, including the mild hybrid diesel and petrol engines of 48V along with the next gen plug in hybrid technologies.
The plug in hybrid unit would be running on evo2 TSI turbocharged petrol unit with 1.5 liter capacity, which is basically VW’s newest arrangement. They have implemented the same powertrain for their T-Roc crossover, which is offered in the overseas markets. This powertrain is claimed to be tweaked efficiently so it would be compatible with various hybrid options and levels.
The Interior Cabin
In terms of interior cabin, there are images of digital interior with infotainment screen in tablet style. This kind of technology is almost the same as the one in ID.4. Unlike the electric crossover, Passat would be running on either diesel of gas engine although it would be the last one in the production.
