Rumor has it that the 2024 Subaru WRX STI would be coming with BRZ turbo unit. The development plan is designed to follow the production timing of the ‘regular’ WRX. According to some sources, the WRX STI would be running on turbocharged unit with 2.4 liter capacity, delivering 202 kW and also 350 Nm of torque. It also comes with improved fun-focused features and sportier gearbox stiffer chassis.
Platform and Construction
The 2024 Subaru WRX STI would be constructed with a new platform, which is the SGP (Subaru Global Platform) which is claimed to improve the driving dynamics of the vehicle significantly because of the solid chassis and rigid body. The Design and Layout

Subaru may be one of the auto manufacturers that are pretty slow with electrification technology. And for this WRX STI, they won’t offer hybrid power just yet.
The ‘regular’ WRX is able to generate 271 hp and 258 Nm of torque, but the STI would be able to deliver higher output. It is able to generate 345 hp. It would be coming with manual power as well as DCCD (Driver Controlled Center Differential) STI, enabling the drivers to adjust the drivetrain. It would also come with torque vectors and brake assist.
The output of the WRX STI is set to be similar to the Mercy AMG CLA45 that is able to generate 382 hp or the new output of the RS3 with its 401 hp, but then again, the WRX STI is focusing to the driving experience instead of the output numbers. Not to mention that it offers all wheel driving system.
