Moreover, the Dark Horse, which is designed for the track with performance inspiration from the GT would be running on V8 unit with 5.0 liter capacity to generate 500 hp. It would be paired up with auto 10 speed transmission or the manual 6 speed transmission. According to the company, this engine is inspired from the Shelby GT500 with its 760 hp, and it gets a better intake system.

EPA hasn’t stated anything about the 2024 fuel economy, but just for reference, the last Mustang model gets 21 mpg for the city and 32 mpg for the highway, and it’s with four cylinder turbo unit and auto 10 speed transmission. But for the V8, it’s coming with 15 mpg for the city and 24 mpg for the highway. If everything goes as planned, the new Mustang would be coming in summer 2023.
